This post needs a bit of a story. Those of you that have followed (and read) previous posts will be familiar with {Grace's Bridal Earrings}. Well, Grace's good friend Julie and Julie's mom Lisa LOVED Grace's earrings.
A little over a month before Julie's wedding she still hadn't found the perfect earrings. So Julie and Lisa were gracious enough to allow me the opportunity to design and create Julie's bridal earrings. And I'm so glad they did!
Well, Julie's sweet mama came to me in secret to see if I could make a headpiece for Julie. After a wonderful coffee meeting with Lisa and Julie's youngest sister, I had an order for two headbands and to dream up some way to incorporate vintage pieces from Lisa's bridal hat, circa 1985. Needless to say, I had so much fun completing this super-special project.
Lisa just couldn't hold in the secret any longer and told Julie the surprises she had commissioned me for, and to my relief, Julie was thrilled! We met a week before Julie's bridal session and I was able to measure her for the cloth headband, try on a flower clip, and I had her make a decision on the earrings that just had to be in made in person.
In the end, I completed seven projects: a pair of bridal earrings, two flower hair clips, two headbands, and antiqued Lisa's wedding day, Mother-of-the Bride earrings. I also threw in a headband that Julie could attach a flower clip to and wear casually, post-wedding.
{And it all was a joy}
